The main aims of this Training Course are to empower youth leaders with competencies on solving local problems by creating coalitions of NGOs and other actors of local communities, strategies and tactics of activities, involving volunteers and implementing projects, and to support their role as active citizens of their community.

• To build a group spirit based on trust, confidence and inter-personal relation, supporting an open dialogue as a base for future developments;

• To enable participants with practical tools to participate actively in solving problems of their community;

• To share experience of young people working in NGOs of different countries and cultural environments;

• To promote the YOUTH programme as a potential multiplier tool to raise awareness and promote these values among young people.

The training course is open to youth leaders (not necessarily chief persons) of organizations from Poland (Po), Lithuania (Li), Belarus (Bel), and Kaliningrad region of Russia (Ka).

An internationally experienced team of trainers will develop, run and monitor the programme for the activity.

VENUE: Town of Druskininkai is the most popular resort place in Lithuania, one of the best spas in Eastern and Central Europe situated on the bank of Nemunas river not far from Belarusian border. It is a wonderful and ecological place famous with its forests and medicinal mineral springs. There are a lot of places of interest to visit and see (for details see: www.druskininkai.lt)

The training course will be carried out in English and Russian languages. Therefore all participants should be able to fully participate either in English, or in Russian!

The profile of participants is of Youth leaders, actively involved in the youth field but not necessary dealing with local problems and issues. Participants should be ready for an intercultural experience and interested in developing strategies and projects around youth participation in solving of local problems and act as agents in their region or/and internationally.

Participants will be selected by the preparatory team according to their Application form (find it attached at the end of this call). A final list of participants and a waiting list for replacements will be elaborated by the team.

The total number of participants will be 28: groups of 7 from each country, including 1 responsible leader per group.
